I'm Mistilteinn, and I'm a new user to LJ. I've been lurking the site for ages, but I finally mustered up the motivation to make a journal here.
As a bit of trivia, I've always been interested in mythology. So when I ran across the Icelandic saga of Hrómundar saga Gripssonar, I was intrigued. My screen name, Mistilteinn, comes from the sword used by Hrómundr Gripsson, the title character of the saga.

My real name is Catherine, and I'm 18 years old. I live in Miami, FL, with my emotionally-oblivous parents, and my two overly-neurotic and paranoid Siberian Huskies. I'm an anime and manga freak, due to my almost instant love for Sailor Moon when I was growing up. Ever since then, I've aimed to get my mitts on every little Japanese-related thing out there.
And failed, but hey, I can try. :P
Despite my weirdness with Japan, I'm not a weeaboo (or whatever the hell they call it.) I'm well aware I'm not going to become Japanese just by liking Naruto until I'm sick of it. I'm not that bad. <<;

I read novels and write small poetry and stories as my hobbies. I often keep bits of unfinished stories around my room; after a good brain-storming session, my room looks like Wall Street during a good day~. X3 I never finish stories, since I take procrastination as if it were my life's occupation. I never finish anything. --;
